QC Communications is a family business founded by the Colleys in 1997. Our business has grown to become one of Australia’s tier one telecommunications providers through our commitment to delivering exceptional service on time, every time.

“Quality control” by name and also by nature, QC Communications is backed by our Integrated Management System, with full ISO Quality, Environment and Safety accreditation. Safety is a priority and we are fully accredited with the Federal Safety Commission.

Our team of over 150 highly qualified and experienced optical fibre and data experts love to take on the most technically and physically challenging projects delivering them to the highest standard for our valued partners.

Meet our Executives

Steve Colley

Steve has been our Managing Director since 2016, having joined QC as Telecommunications Officer in 2009. Steve's extensive systems knowledge enables quality reporting, continuous improvement and visionary strategic planning. He is an openminded, results-driven, fair and approachable leader. Steve is passionate about business growth, consistent delivery of programs, maintaining client relationships and fostering a culture of responsibility, safety and compliance.

Steve has a strong background in telecommunications work, along with a comprehensive understanding of project management, business analysis, finance and profitability. As a leader and team player, he is hands-on and recognises value in innovative ideas, learning opportunities and consulting with various professionals to enhance the business. He graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Accounting and Finance in 2018.​

Peter Wesley

Peter joined QC in early 2020 as a Chief Operating Officer, bringing many years of experience in executive roles. Peter served as Navigator and Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Navy on warships for 9 years. He is multi-disciplinary and skilled in business development, financial acumen, operational intuition and leadership.
Peter’s contributions to QC include improving business management and performance, improving internal reporting structures, nurturing networks for business development, building teams and delivering results. Peter is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to QC’s success by coaching the existing team to further develop their skills and potential. His laid-back, attentive and humorous nature makes it easy for everyone to get along with him. Outside of work, Pete enjoys sailing, mountain biking and rugby.

Jorge Aliaga

Jorge joined QC as General Manager Business Development & Growth in 2019. Jorge has extensive experience in business development roles, particularly within the telecommunications industry. He is skilled in sales, leadership, innovation, strategy and has a broad understanding of advanced technologies.
Jorge’s areas of expertise include tender management, operational procedures, establishing and managing professional relationships, implementing strategies, assessing emerging technologies and identifying opportunities. Indeed, Jorge is motivated by the potential for growth and diversification of the business. He is originally from Peru and has a kind, friendly, and gentle nature. He is extremely knowledgeable and forward-thinking.

Peter O’Hara

Peter took on the role of Chief Financial Officer in May 2019. Peter has an extensive financial background in C-suite roles, taking pride in his ability to closely support executive teams to grow their profitability and improve business processes. He is highly experienced in financial reporting, payroll, project accounting, risk management, cash management, commercial planning and analysis, as well as corporate governance.

A skilled leader who drives change, Peter works with senior management to deliver revenue growth, cost control and business process improvements. Peter is originally from the UK and is an excellent communicator with a calm, friendly and logical approach. He is motivated by a culture of clear vision and strategy to achieve organisational goals.

Raed Zakzouk

Raed is our Sydney General Manager, responsible for managing major telecommunications rollouts, as well as fixed line and mobile infrastructure projects. He is skilled in HSE system setup and excels in improving systems and reporting.
Driven, thorough and hard-working, Raed is motivated to achieve the highest possible level of efficiency to ensure smooth operations and delivery across all aspects of the business. Raed is a very much valued and well-liked member of our team, largely because of his thoughtful, friendly, and nurturing approach.
